Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
With its distinctive brick red color, this Cabernet Sauvignon is decadent and rich. Aromas of dark currents with hints of coffee and chocolate are complement by subtle flavors of vanilla and cinnamon. Full bodied with mouth coating dark berry flavors that finish with lingering waves of structured tannins and cherries..
Vineyard Notes
92% Cabernet Sauvignon from Diamante Doble Vineyard Tokio, TX 8% Petit Verdot from Sprayberry Vineyard Midland, TX
Production Notes
Every so often a wine of exceptional quality is chosen to be released as a limited case, reserve bottling. This Reserve wine was picked by winemakers, Jim Evans and Ty Berringer to be an ideal representation of Texas Cabernet Sauvignon.
Winemaker Notes
Cabernet Sauvignon (kab-er-nay saw-vin-yawn) originates in the Bordeaux region of France. DNA testing has revealed it to be a crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. It is thought to be the most popular wine making grape in the world as it tends to grow well in most growing regions.
Food Pairing Notes
Enjoy this Cabernet Sauvignon with peppered steak and loaded baked potato, dry rubbed smoked brisket, or smoked Gouda mac and cheese.
