18 months in American and French Oak
June 12, 2021
This wonderful Texas Merlot has a rich ruby hue and luscious legs that cling to the glass. It has exceptional aromas of cherries, and black raspberries with delicate vanilla and spice. Flavors of cherries, red currant, and hints of cinnamon are held in place by soft tannins. This Merlot finishes strong with flavors of dark cocoa.

It grows well in a number of wine producing regions and is very popular in blends as well as a standalone single varietal. Merlot can have similar aromas and flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon but tend to have softer, more chalky tannins and lighter bodies.
